Purpose:
We are recruiting for an Engineer for our client. They manufacture aircraft structures and system components from the supply of individual metallic or composite components through to complete sub-assemblies or kits.
The Engineer will be responsible for best practice detailed engineering
Key Tasks:
* Plan engineering activities and detailed operation sequences in the form of operation travellers.
* Provide detailed CNC/CATIA programmes using the latest technology available.
* Produce detailed tooling lists and CNC set up sheets.
* Maintain CNC/CATIA programming hardware and software.
* Liaise with customers.
* Maintain and update CNC/CATIA data to the latest manufacturing issue.
* Liaise with supervision and the shop floor to produce best practice engineering and reduce component costs.
* Research latest machining and manufacturing techniques available.
* Provide detailed drawings to support above where necessary.
Additional Requirements
* Comply fully with internal and external Quality audits and work within the guidelines set out in the Company Procedure Manual and the Company Quality Assurance Manual.
* At all times in the conduct of your job and in your personal behaviour while at work, to have regard for the health and safety of yourself and fellow workers.
* Contribute to the future growth and profitability of he Company.
Person Specification
* Time-served apprentice within a machine-cutting environment - essential
* Knowledge of CAD/CAM essential
* Aerospace background - desirable
* NCL -essential
* CATIA -essential
* Good communicator/team player
