Considerable project management skills gained in software projects will be essential for this role. You will have proven ability of the full life cycle of project management, including: motivating and manage project teams, developing project plans, managing resources, timescales, costs, experience of client requirements analysis and contractual negotiations and therefore some product management experience would be required. Experience of chemical engineering, petrochemicals or process industries would be beneficial.

Your background in engineering, science or mathematics combined with excellent communications skills will be essential as you will need to be able to gain a full understanding of the mathematical and engineering aspects of clients' businesses in order to deliver the solutions they require. Your responsibilities will range from detailed technical discussions with internal developers and client technical experts, through to high-level presentations with senior management. You will be an accomplished communicator of both commercial and technical concepts, being able to quickly grasp and explain complex engineering software concepts and to handle complex commercial negotiations.

Essential Requirements:
* A good technical, engineering, scientific or mathematics degree.
* Considerable software project management experience, ideally from chemical engineering, petrochemicals or process industries.
* Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.
* Proven technical and commercial awareness.
* Excellent experience of Microsoft tools.

Desirable Requirements:
* Understanding of the software development, including programming and testing.
* Use of Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft Sharepoint.
