To help the firm win new, profitable business through the development, planning and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns.
Engagement with sector group lead and key stakeholders to create sector business plan. Identifying and understanding the key issues facing the sector, ensuring ALL campaign activity leads to the delivery of the sector business plan. Understanding the client base, key priorities, growth targets and measures of success for your campaign.
Ambassador role of the sector group, engaging with lawyers across the business, focusing on the bigger picture, coaching and selling the 'Sector' message and having a clear understanding of why the sector approach is client facing, issues led and leads to deeper client relationships.
Responsibility for the global co-ordination of all sector related communication activity across all channels e.g. PR, internal comms, Insite, web, social media (where appropriate, with admin or outsourced support), e-briefings, events (including the copywriting/drafting of invitations), marketing collateral and other campaign specific documentation.
Responsibility for the global identification/evaluation, planning and delivery of agreed campaign events including thought leadership dinners, conferences, seminars, webinars etc in line with the campaign business plan.
Evaluation and demonstration of clear ROI on agreed campaign activity working jointly with BD/KAM and key members of the sector group to illustrate sector client development. Identifying channels to promote successes e.g. PR, internal comms, collateral etc.
Developing and managing relationships with key industry associations to identify partnering opportunities.
Identifying opportunities to personally engage with clients e.g. attendance at thought leadership dinners, networking at events.
Responsibility for taking ownership of campaign specific requests and providing a solution/recommendation in line with the business plan (i.e. not being a post box).
Management of campaign folder to ensure all key clients/targets which we wish to engage with are included, conducting regular housekeeping to ensure contacts are reviewed on a monthly basis. Provision of coaching to other colleagues within the business to effectively utilise Share.
Building an effective dialogue with other members of the marketing team to ensure that activity is appropriately resourced, utilising the skills of other functions to support effective, best practice delivery.
Management and ownership of the sector marketing budget.
You should have experience of analysing business plans and the business environments (using tools such as PESTEL and Porter's 5 Forces) and devising Marketing Strategies and Campaigns to take the fullest advantage possible of the opportunities through the complete planning and implementation of successful Marketing Campaigns.
Experience of Sector based campaigns, which involve getting under the skin of sector regulations, issues and how they translate into product development opportunities for the firm is preferred and promotion of those opportunities as part of a co-ordinated campaign.
You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Previous use of InterAction, Word XP and Outlook would be advantageous.
Knowledge of marketing/communication processes - a sound understanding of communication best practice, ideally from a professional services background.
You'll be results driven and a strong communicator, able to present information using a variety of techniques. You'll be used to working in a fast-paced environment and able to plan your time effectively to meet demanding deadlines.
Importantly you will need the interpersonal skills to manage delivery through others, including lawyers at all levels and their teams, firmwide marketing colleagues and external suppliers.
