Edustaff are actively working with many client Primary schools in the Birmingham, West Midlands area. One client in particular has approached Distaff to assist them is recruiting an accomplished Teaching Assistant who has completed the Team Teach Certificate and has previous SEN experience to apply for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant role in Small Heath, Birmingham on a one ear contract to start in September 2012.
The successful candidate will be working with Key Stage 2 pupils, but may also be required to work in Key Stage 1.

My client is looking for a teaching assistant who will use their initiative and build up an excellent rapport with the children as well as staff members.

Successful Teaching Assistants will:

*Helping children in all areas of the curriculum
*Supporting children on a one to one basis with special needs
*Assisting with the preparation of the learning environment
*Liaison with parents
*Maintaining pupil records
*Providing extra support to children who speak English as an additional language
*Upholding the rules of the school / classroom

You may also be required to undertake administration tasks such as handing out/collecting papers, photocopying, some light marking, putting up/taking down displays, etc.

This is a good school at the heart of the community. The excellent partnership with parents, including the extensive family learning programmes, is a key factor in the schools success and pupils' good achievements. Pupils build well on their good progress in the Nursery and Reception classes and, by the end of Year 2, attain standards that are close to the national average in reading writing and mathematics. The children have high expectations of them and understand the importance of doing well at school.

Should you wish to apply then please send your CV ASAP to Alfie @ Distaff to avoid disappointment.

The school are looking to interview over the next few weeks.

***Please note only successful candidates will be contacted.
We look forward to hearing from you.
