You'll work in the Internal MI team which forms part of our wider UK General Insurance's (UKGI) Finance Planning & Reporting team. The team deliver monthly internal performance reporting, external reporting, forecasts and the business' annual plan. We provide regular presentations and reports to the UKGI Exec and wider community, Aviva Group, and increasingly to the Aviva UK Exec and Board. You'll be working on a key business critical project to define, deliver and embed economic MI as part of the Solvency 2 programme.




To be a success in this role you'll need to be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with exemplary technical accounting background eg interpretation/application of accounting standards. You'll need experience of developing and analysing complex financial MI. You'll also have the ability to learn quickly, understand and apply complex financial concepts and to provide thought leadership and challenge. This needs to be coupled with the ability to convey financial information to a broad range of stakeholders in a way that is easy to understand, demonstrating strong influencing skills. An understanding of general insurance business and accounting concepts would be preferred but is not essential.
