The Company
Our client is a highly respected and established global company selling chemical solutions in the Oil and Gas Sectors. They are currently looking for a Senior Account Manager to manage, retain and grow high value existing business. This role is based in Aberdeen (Scotland) but the role may have some European travel.
The Role
The purpose and remit of the Senior Account Manager role:-
* Manage existing of high value strategic accounts
* Expand the sales opportunity within the accounts
* Analyse, report and execute strategic plans to retain and grow the strategic accounts
* Develop relationships within the account to encourage new opportunities for growth and understand customer needs with end users
* Project management of new products or uses within the customer offshore platforms
* Transfer customer knowledge to other personnel to enhance the customer experience
* Improve customer service within the accounts
* Communicate and report on customer development and lead teams to deliver excellence to customer and their staff
* Build a sales pipeline of new business opportunities to ensure the sales target will be met
The Candidate
The Senior Account Manager's experience and qualifications:-
* Must have a formal scientific background, ideally with a Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering or Petroleum or a related scientific degree
* Must have a minimum of 5 years experience selling into the Oil and Gas sector ideally with some offshore experience
* Experience of leading and motivating cross functional teams to deliver excellent customer service and product development
* Commercially astute with ability to identify potential business opportunities and drive strategies and performance with the accounts
* Customer ambassador with an ear to the ground and excellent strategic skills in developing and delivering new solutions to meet evolving customer needs
* Tenacious, confident personality and able to communicate and present at board level
* Proven ability to negotiate and close sales
* Computer literate, organised and able to prioritise and deliver results
The Reward
In return, the Senior Account Manager will receive an excellent remuneration package including a 45k - 60k basic with a commission scheme to double salary ie OTE 90k - 100k.
