Manufacturing/Process Engineer

The company in question is Tier 1 Automotive firm that is currently experiencing substantial growth. They have recently secured a large project, and require a number of candidates who are experienced within Automotive Manufacturing.

The role of Manufacturing/Process Engineer is required to assist in the manufacturing of New Products, and aid in improving the companies processes. The key duties and responsibilities of the Manufacturing/Process Engineer will be:
- New product launches, not limited to but includes tooling, equipment specific, and management of contractors.
- Commission and set up of equipment.
- Process Control / documentation sheets.
- Lean root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain the layout and production process.
- Support pre-production builds at the equipment manufacturer plant.
- Introduce scrap reduction initiatives.
- Any other projects or tasks assigned to you by management team.

The successful candidate for the position of Manufacturing/Process Engineer will have the following skills, or be able to provide evidence of the necessary expertise:
- Engineering Apprenticeship or Graduate Engineer with appropriate industrial / manufacturing based experience.
- Ability to Lead/manage technical projects from specification/design to implementation.
- New launch programme experience.
- Project Management experience.
- Tooling experience specification and design.
- ABB Robot Programming.
- Contractor management.
- Interface with Customer (Tier 1).
- Auto Cad knowledge and experience desirable.
- Proactive problem solver.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to train others.
- Carpet forming and Rimming.
- Acoustical forming and rimming.

The position of Manufacturing/Process Engineer is based in the West Midlands area, and is easily commutable from Coventry, Wolverhampton, Redditch, Birmingham, Solihull, Kidderminster, Tamworth, Telford, Leamington Spa, Leicester, Burton upon Trent.
