The Role - Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Determine and agree the marketing strategy. Provide detailed costs and targets. Organise & control promotions and campaigns via various agreed agencies.
- With Sales, manage the customer and prospect database,
- Establish good press, media & opinion-former relations. If necessary, selecting and managing an agency
- Review campaigns with agency. Conduct periodic customer opinion surveys etc.
- Familiarise yourself with the company's (and competitors) product mix, technical standards, procurement and manufacturing capability.
- Organise and control of production & distribution of all sales literature and sales presentation materials, in close collaboration with CEO and Product Development. Ensure correct documents reach intended customers.
- Appoint and manage agencies where required (e.g. creative, placement, full services, PR etc) to deliver excellence in outputs at low cost.
- Assess current brand strength and positioning, modify where necessary and agree with the Board.
- Project manage the Direct Marketing campaigns by developing strategic and tactical implementation plans.
The Person - Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience within a similar role covering multiple disciplines of Marketing
- Have experience within a technically orientated organisation (IT Desirable)
- Experience within a public sector focused organisation
- Marketing qualification
