Our client has an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join their organisation as Head of Business Development. The organisation specialises in data management and works with clients globally. Based at their North Wales location, you will be reporting to the Managing Director and will be responsible for:
* Coordinating and proactively leading the commercial department in expanding the business
* Maintaining and building on existing customer relationships, and securing repeat core business
* Shaping, influencing and optimising commercial offering through the utilisation of internal resources
* Developing pricing schedules to meet company financial targets
* Strategically managing sales process and maximising revenue
* Identifying potential sales opportunities
* Managing budgets, plans and sales pipeline
* Preparing proposals, tenders and all related commercial documentation
* Producing monthly reports and board reports
* Managing and administering the CRM package
* Liaising with internal staff and external entities
* Managing and leading a team of up to five people
* Setting objectives and targets for members of the commercial team
* Attaining and reporting against commercial targets and ensuring long-term growth
* Raising the company profile worldwide and promoting competitive advantage
* Reviewing product and service offering and striving to expand into complimentary areas
* Developing managers to support stimulation of business demand through various functions
* Supporting and advising managers on recruitment and staffing issues from a commercial perspective
* Linking objectives across multiple departments and setting strategic direction
* Maintaining an understanding of operational requirements
Essential requirements to be considered for the role:
* Previous general management experience
* Previous experience in a commercial environment
* Experience of dealing with large B2B contracts and projecting sales
* Proven track record of performance within results focused role
* Exposure in a high level customer facing role
* Prior experience managing operational teams
* Broad grounding in finance and human resources
* Understanding of financial reports, P&L sheets, balance sheets and cash flow statements
* Ability to analyse project profitability
* Commercially innovative and dynamic
* Must be prepared to travel within the UK and overseas for extended periods of time
* Experience in the oil and gas industry is advantageous although not essential
Salary: up to £60,000 dependent on current level of experience, plus potential for annual bonus based on performance. An attractive benefits package is also on offer.
