Our client is a leading world player in smart cards and payment systems.
They are now seeking an I.T Project Manager to manage project delivery according to agreed targets, budget and timescales and to provide project leadership and support within the group.

Main function of post

* Programme/Project Management within Payment, Transit, NFC and GSM implementation projects and card personalisation systems

Main duties and tasks

Manage the technical relationship with clients
* To document in detail the project's requirements and Customer acceptance criteria
* To identify and agree tasks, objectives and targets
* To agree, document and manage changes to original customer requirements
* To deliver project updates to the customer and other members of the project team
* To oversee user acceptance testing and customer sign-off prior to launch

Project delivery
* Document in detail the customer's project requirements and acceptance criteria
* To estimate the time needed for each task and the overall project
* To establish and update project plans
* To adjust the estimated time schedules and project deliverables according to agreed change requests
* To coordinate the work of each person involved in a project
* To act as a central interface for everyone involved in the project, dealing with queries, change requests, updates etc.
* To communicate status updates with customers, project team and Technical Director
* To ensure smooth and timely realisation of projects
* Oversee user acceptance testing and customer sign-off prior to launch.
* To oversee project implementation and 1st Production run testing


SKILLS REQUIRED:
* 5+ years experience of working in banking sector and/or smart card industry
* Understanding of Project Management processes - Prince II methodology or equivalent
* Ability to plan, design and conduct presentations to small or large audiences
* Good understanding of international standards for Telecommunications and/or Payment specifications for Smart Cards
* Very good understanding of software development processes
* Good understanding of IT system and encryption knowledge and experience
* Expertise in software programmes such as PowerPoint, Microsoft Projects, Word and Excel, etc.

Education and qualification
* Prince II Project Management methodology or equivalent
* Degree in mathematics and/or computer sciences or similar
* Professional competence in a similar position
* High level of knowledge in various industries including engineering, smart card industry
