Lay Member (Designate) - Governance
South Tees CCG is an emerging Clinical Commissioning Group, working towards authorisation as a statutory body under the Health and Social Care Bill 2012. The Bill puts local GPs and healthcare professionals at the forefront of commissioning services for local people. We now have an opportunity for two Lay Members to play an important part in shaping and developing the emerging CCG as it becomes fully established.
Governance Role
(Ref. STEELMG)
You will bring strategic insight and impartiality to the governing body, overseeing key elements of governance, including audit, remuneration and conflicts of interest. You will have the skills, knowledge and expertise to assess and confirm appropriate systems of internal control are in place for all aspects of governance, including financial and risk management. You will also be expected to chair the audit committee.
This role requires the successful applicant to hold a recent and relevant finance qualification. The time commitment is 2 days per month and the remuneration is £13,361 per annum (remuneration currently under review). Some time commitment may be required in the evenings.
