About the job role
The Professional Fundraiser is an ethical door-to-door fundraising agency working on behalf of Cats Protection, the UK's leading feline welfare charity helping more than 230,000 cats and kittens every year.
Starting as a professional fundraiser you will join one of our fund-raising teams, and working door-to-door local to where you live, and in a sensitive manner, you will engage with members of the public about the Charity's cause, offering the person the opportunity to make a monthly donation to the charity for many years to come.
Your time spent as a fundraiser will help to familiarise you with the grass roots of our business, aiding your future growth in the role and career progression. Opportunities to progress to a team leader role are available to top performing fundraisers, and promotion to this position can occur within your first four weeks of employment. Team leaders are commonly responsible for a team of up to five fundraisers, and help to provide quality training as well as organise and support fundraisers when in the field. During your time as a team leader you will receive valuable and recognised training programmes, equipping you for a leadership position with our company.
Further progression to an Area Manager and Regional Director role's are available to those who demonstrate the flair and ability to be one of our leaders of the future, with appointment as an Area Manager taking place within six months of joining the company.
As a fundraiser you will commence employment on a starting salary of 6.50 per hour (after a two-week trial period), with bonuses for every donor you recruit for the Charity above a minimum performance level. Average fundraisers are currently earning c. 325 per week, with top performing fundraisers earning in excess of 500 per week. Further bonuses apply to the team leader role, and allow for on target earnings of 30,000 per annum, with further progression to area management and regional director appointments commanding salaries up to 60,000 per annum plus benefits.
Full time positions are 3pm to 9pm Monday to Friday and 11am to 5pm on Saturdays or Sundays.
