ASCD is looking for a seasoned Helpdesk/User Support Specialist with experience working with Active Directory and in managing Microsoft Outlook accounts. Talent in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, peripheral equipment is a must. Knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite is a plus.
General Responsibilities:
* Resolves day-to-day customer technical problems by responding to requests submitted through online helpdesk system, via phone, or in-person.
* Tracks all open helpdesk issues to ensure that they are resolved to the end user's satisfaction and ensure all reported helpdesk issues are investigated in a timely manner and that progress and results are communicated promptly to the end user.
* Performs most system/software application installation, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting on various Windows desktop and laptop platforms.
* Supports A/V needs for in-house meetings including set-ups and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have Helpdesk certification, A+ certification (A+ 2003 or greater preferred), MOS (XP preferred) and/or MSDST. Must also have 3 years experience under these certifications and a fundamental understanding of LAN support and technology. Experience in a professional computer helpdesk environment communicating with a wide range of customers required. Additional certification/experience with Helpstar, Magic, HP Service Desk, or Remedy a plus.
