Working in build & release, you will be working closely with application development, project and release management teams to ensure that build and deployment requirements for each application are understood, and appropriately scheduled taking in to consideration any application inter-dependencies and ongoing/upcoming application development work. The build and release engineer will have a major role in designing, developing and maintaining version control system repositories and automated software build, deploy and package processes.
You should have the following skills and experience:
* Build Tools (CruiseControl, TeamCity, MSBuild, nAnt)
* Source Control Repositories (VSS, TFS)
* C#, Windows Scripting Host, Powershell
* ASP.NET (1.1 - 3.5)
* .Net Architecture and Development
* Web Application Projects
* Microsoft SQL Server 2005
* Comparison and merging using tools
* SDLC and Configuration Management Practices
* Windows 2003/2008 management and support
* Experience in building and deploying high-performance (resilient) environments.
* Understanding of various SDLC phases and the role of Software Configuration Management practices.
