Mechanical Engineer / Electrical Engineer (Manufacturing)

Position: Day Engineer
Location: Palmers Green, North London

ROLE:
Reporting into the Site Production coordinator, the Mechanical Engineer / Electrical Engineer will work as an integral part of the site team to sustain high plant efficiency and contribute towards the growth of the business in a challenging environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Responsible for the delivery of sound engineering solutions and improvements.
b) Work closely with the Engineering Team to explore all opportunities to improve efficiency and deliver optimum performance.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Certified competency to work with electricity is essential together with an ONC (or equivalent) qualification in mechanical, electrical or production maintenance.
b) A good working knowledge of PLC, AC Drives, Inverters and Hydraulics would be an advantage.
c) Experience in the plastics industry or mass production operations is desirable.
d) An adaptable, proactive attitude is essential as is the commitment to teamwork. Candidates should be self motivated and confident to make key decisions if required.
e) Good communication skills are vital to satisfy the needs of both internal and external customers and ensure delivery of excellent service.
