Are you an experienced Housing Officer?

Do you live in a commutable distance from Exeter?



The role of Housing Officer will involve;


Working as part of the housing team, you will be responsible for the management of all council housing and leasehold properties within a given area of the city and all visiting responsibilities for the section within that area as well as working as part of the Tenant Services Team providing a full range of housing services.


You will be main point of contact for tenants, leaseholders and members of the public, advising where appropriate and referring to the relevant officer when needed, following up on complaints and maintaining contact with vulnerable or difficult tenants. You will be interviewing tenants and owners/occupiers, run estate surgeries, following up on referrals, carrying out viewings, managing and attending evictions and carrying out all administration alongside all of the above.



The successful Housing Officer will have:


Have previous experience of dealing with homelessness.

Live in a commutable distance to Exeter.

Worked in a similar working environment.

Start date ideally will be Monday 9th July 2012.
