Fluidics Engineer, Cambridgeshire
We are searching for an Engineer to become a key part of our client's team and to develop a detailed understanding of the how the design of a printhead affects jetting performance. The Engineer will actively apply this knowledge to the design of components that carry fluids through the product. To achieve this it will be necessary to gain a thorough understanding of all the functional elements of the printhead.
We are searching for an Engineer with the following profile:
Excellent academic background
Academic background in a branch of fluidics applicable to inkjet will be a plus
Excellent knowledge of physics, particularly in fluid dynamics
Proven ability to develop and validate computer models (FEA/CFD/FV) applicable to real world situations
Ability to convert analysis into robust theories/tools/models that can be practically exploited in the product design
Experience of ink jet printing, in particular printhead technology would be highly valuable
Demonstrable track record of applying analytical techniques to solve real-world engineering problems.
