The school is inclusive, where the wellbeing of every child matters. The school caters for a very diverse catchment within zone 1, central London and has received a 'Good and improving' OFSTED rating with a very good reputation to serving the local community and developing outstanding racial cohesion throughout the school.
This will be a challenging position and requires a calm and committed graduate who has a genuine interest in working with special needs, more specifically EBD pupils. This post would ideally suit a psychology graduate looking to become an educational/clinical psychologist, however all graduates are welcome to apply, but experience with such needs is essential...!!
You will be working across all year groups linked with specific pupils in and out of class, ensuring they are engaged and do not disrupt classes. Knowledge of both the curriculum and behaviour management strategies would be beneficial and an advantage to your application.
As an individual, you will need to be engaging, hard working and adaptable. Due to the nature of this role, previous experience is ideally required with a firm but fair approach and ability to think on your feet in challenging circumstances. This will be a 1 year post on an agency contract earning a minimum of 60 per day, paid term time only.
