Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Rate: 25 - 30 p/h
Location: Sunderland
Duration: 6 months

The Background:
After a recent increase in workload, a prolific manufacturer of components for the Oil & Gas industry is looking to recruit a contract Design Engineer for an initial period of 6 months.

The Role:
Joining the existing design team, you'll be responsible for the production of 2D Layout Drawings and 3D Models to develop the existing product database and to deliver bespoke designs for manufacture and production.

You:
Using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, you'll demonstrate strong 3D Modelling and 2D Detailing skills, ideally with previous experience of CAD within the Oil & Gas industry (or similar). You'll also be able to demonstrate knowledge of Design for Manufacture and producing BOMs.

With the primary focus being the design and development of specific valves and actuators, this is an interesting and rewarding opportunity within an increasingly competitive market sector.
