A leading private practice in the field of financial services dispute resolution.

My client acts for major clients including domestic and international banks, insurers, hedge funds, private banks, fund managers, brokers and proprietary traders. The team rigorously project manage disputes through our award winning approach, helping them to provide a seamless cross border service and cost certainty. There is now an opportunity for a Solicitor to join the team in Birmingham or Nottingham. As an integral part of our team you will provide support on a wide variety of disputes. You will also be encouraged to get involved in marketing activities. This varied role offers a wide range of high quality financial services dispute resolution work. You will have responsibility for managing your own case load (which may include a number of professional negligence and personal guarantee claims) with appropriate supervision. You will also work as a member of a team on complex, high value disputes. There will also be an opportunity to get involved in marketing and business development.

You will have gained excellent general commercial litigation skills. You should also have an particular interest in the financial services sector and be alive to the challenges facing our clients in the current climate. You will have up to 3 years PQE within FS Litigation however NQ's will be considered. You will possess strong technical skills and excellent academic qualifications. In addition you will be able to demonstrate exceptional organisation skills and a high level of attention to detail. You will provide a first rate client service both internally and externally. You should be a team player, client focused and a good communicator with a strong practical approach to your workload.

A commitment to delivering quality service is essential, as is the ability to juggle the demands of a heavy workload. You will have a positive outlook, be confident, driven, adaptable and used to working as part of a team. You should be passionate about client service excellence and about your own personal development, taking pride in everything you do. You will have excellent IT, communication (verbal and written), administration and organisational skills.
