The Company

Our client is a leading developer of software for the commercial software and systems market, with a growing client base, over one million software users and over 1000 systems implemented. They are expanding their development and Quality Auditing team and require a self motivated and progressive individual to work on software testing projects and to contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes.

Role

The Software Q.A. Analyst will be responsible for the production of test plans, scripts and reports for execution of manual and automated testing. You will be actively executing test scripts and responsible for defect reporting, replication, impact analysis and verification.

Skills

Ideally you will have a technical degree or equivalent.
Proven commercial experience in a testing environment.
Practical experience in agile testing methods.
Experience of preparing a test environment and executing performance, regression and usability testing.
Experience of web-based software testing methodologies.
Experience with SQL Server / SQL queries would be advantageous.
Experience with one or more test automation tools (experience of using TFS 2010 an advantage).
It would be useful if you had experience with any of the following:

ISEB / ISTQB Software Testing Certification - Foundation / Intermediate / Practitioner
Knowledge of unit testing and Agile methodologies
Experience in working on Windows based virtual environments.
Knowledge of scripting (VBScript, JavaScript, etc)
IIS - basic configuration skills
Experience of Internet protocols (e.g. SMTP, HTTP).
