Applications Engineer / Technical Support Engineer immediately required for growing semiconductor client near Oxford.

The Application Engineer will be responsible for providing product related technical services and support, including:
post-sales support, Failure Analysis, Field Service, and problem resolution.

Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be responsible for the following duties:
* Technical expert on all product lines, directly providing post-sales support which includes on-site installation and
troubleshooting, and support products through the entire product life cycle.
* Establish close technical relationship to customer accounts
* Analyze customer issue and then configure and test the issue to determine the root cause.
* Participate in the development and delivery of standard and custom training course materials
* Track issues completely and effectively
* Work closely with internal company resources to drive customer technical issues to resolution and complete satisfaction

Applicants for this role will have at least 4 years+ of professional experience in computer industry
* In-depth understanding of Storage market trends and customer needs.
* Knowledge of PC and server systems, computer peripherals and services.
* Knowledge of Linux, MAC, Windows and VMware based Operating Systems
* Proven history of success in building customer relationships, previous experience in a direct customer support role is
beneficial.
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, verbal and written.
* Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

This role is mainly office based but will require some travel often at short notice. This role could suit an experienced
software engineer looking to move in to an application role.
