Our client is part of a world-class high-technology engineering group that develops, manufactures and markets high-value products to customers in over 130 countries worldwide. This is a newly created role, which focuses on unique products for thermal management / electronic packaging applications as well as structural products for opto-electronic systems, electronic assemblies and semiconductor consumables / processing equipment.
Reporting to the CE Alloys Group Director, you will drive, support and manage the achievement of sales, margin and Return On Capital Employed targets for the group and will undertake these technically demanding duties on a truly international stage.
Working with new and existing customers, you will drive sales to all regions and all industries, supporting and managing global high-technology businesses. This will involve developing and implementing medium and long term growth strategies as well as managing customer enquiries, RFQ's and often complex contract review systems in an environment characterised by challenging and varied technical content. Successful sales to customers are driven by high technical content and you will lead these technical discussions.
A self-starter, with well-developed communication skills and a real flair for developing customer relationships, you will represent the company at regional and global conferences in order to promote product sales and application developments. You will sell directly to customers in some countries, whilst in others you will work closely with regional agents in order to maintain and grow the customer base, including the identification and development of new customers and application areas.
You will be educated to degree level or higher qualification in a technical subject, preferably an engineering or metallurgical discipline, and are likely to have at least 5 years' relevant work experience. Knowledge of advanced metals markets involving thermal management or electronic packaging applications would be of particular interest but is not an essential requirement for this role.
A strong team player and a good negotiator, with the drive, enthusiasm and desire to be successful, you will be expected to travel overseas on a regular basis. In return, you will be offered a challenging opportunity within a high-technology environment that will stretch your talents to the full.
