The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Firm in the development and delivery of a high quality end to end tender service to the business.

Main Duties:-

* Manage and develop the firm's bid process; develop an end to end best practice approach

* Take the lead in delivering complex public and private sector tenders, ranging from team specific to major firm wide bids

* Conduct research and work with the Partners to develop a competitive strategy and an achievable project plan for each bid

* Work with key individual Partners to provide a strategic focus in their tender submissions, scoping the opportunity to help determine what clients really want and identify how our services will match their needs.

* Co-ordinate content, write copy and manage the production of bid document for the major firm-wide or strategic pitches

* Develop and draft quality bid content ensuring each submission is as state of the art as possible

* Work with the relevant teams and finance team to agree fee strategies

* Lead debrief strategy and communication on lessons learned following each tender submission

* Track the market to identify profitable public and private sector tenders

* Strategically develop relationships with the clients once appointed, including attending client meetings and acting as a point of contact for the firm.

* Create opportunities for fee earners to develop profitable and long term relationships with clients once appointed

Experience and Qualifications Required:-

* Minimum 18 months bid management experience, from identification through to delivery or equivalent experience in a focused Business Development role with industry knowledge

* Proven capability of delivering winning business opportunities

* Professional services experience preferred, but not essential

* First class IT Skills to assist with formatting and uploading the final bid documents

* CIM qualification would be desirable, but not essential

Special Skills and Personal Attributes:-

* Strong interpersonal skills, effective communicator at all levels (written and verbal)

* Excellent organisational skills, demonstrate examples of multi-tasking and an ability to juggle competing priorities

* Must interact well with others in a sensitive and effective way to build trusted relationships with key Partners and clients

* Self-motivated, committed to working towards goals with strong enthusiasm and career commitment

* Pro-active approach with the ability to work well under pressure and to demanding deadlines and occasionally unsociable hours

* Must be flexible, successfully adapting to changing demands and conditions

* Strategic and innovative thinker

* Experience of dealing with media an advantage
