Electronic / Mechanical Production Technician - 18,000 to 24,000 depending on experience + bonus + excellent benefits

Based: Leicester

The Electronic / Mechanical Production Technician will work as part of a team assembling mechanical and electronic equipment, including testing, programming, recording and analysing test data, electronic board ( ECB ) level assembly and fault finding.

Our client is a leading international supplier of laser and microwave navigation sensors for sophisticated vessel control and guided vehicle systems ( AGV ). The company is based in a modern, purpose built facility, close to the M1 / M69 motorway network.

The successful Electronic / Mechanical Production Technician will:
* Be confident in the assembly of mechanical and electronic equipment



* Have experience of equipment testing, electronics programming, recording and basic analysis of test data, electronic board level assembly and fault finding



* Have the ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics



* Have the ability to communicate product improvement ideas with designers and testers



* Contribute to the Continuous Improvement process



* Be used to working in a quality controlled environment where attention to detail is the norm



* Be able to work as both a team member and independently




Your application would be further supported by experience gained in opto-mechanical assembly and module testing, a minimum qualification to BTEC level in a relevant field and being fully PC literate.
