Sand Resources is currently looking for a B2B Account Director to work for a forward thinking and innovative client based in Surrey. The client is running projects for multiple nationwide organisations with a string of successful innovative advertising campaigns, along with award winning staff. The successful candidate will have experience working within an integrated marketing agency for multiple clients.
MAIN JOB OBJECTIVES
1. To ensure that all projects are completed to the client's satisfaction.
2. To maximise the contribution to profits from each allocated client account (in line with agency specified levels of margin).
3. To promote the job satisfaction of all account group staff.
4. To ensure the Agency is paid on time for all work.
TASKS
Client Management:
1. Ensure that clear and accurate briefs are taken from clients.
2. Ensure that creative work plans/briefs are developed and that the Creative, Digital and production departments are briefed.
3. Be responsible for controlling the quality of the Creative output in light of the Client's brand and project objectives.
4. Ensure the cost effectiveness and quality of proposals is evaluated before their presentation to clients.
5. Ensure the satisfactory implementation and subsequent evaluation of approved projects.
6. Identify any client problems at an early stage and facilitate their solution.
7. Monitor the effectiveness of marketing activity and update plans in line with new recommendations and/or changing conditions.
8. Establish effective relationships with Clients and continually monitor the quality of relationships between Clients and the Agency as a whole.
9. Identify and define business opportunities that exist for the Agency, across all departments, on each account and develop the most appropriate strategy to capitalise on each relationship.
10. To identify new business opportunities and to play an active role in the subsequent approach/lead the pitch process.
People Management:
1. Identify accurately the resources needed to manage the allocated accounts to the required standard.
2. Motivate, develop and manage all account group staff, understanding any training requirements within the team and making appropriate recommendations.
Financial Management:
1. Ensure that all client projects are accurately costed and that margins are optimised.
2. Participate in the negotiation of the Terms and Conditions of Business and ensure they are fully complied with.
3. Develop accurate business forecasts and monitor actuals to budgets.
4. Check the accuracy of quarterly financial reports for the management team.
5. Ensure that all billing is completed in accordance with the Agency's stated procedures.
6. Monitor the credit status of all clients and ensure that appropriate action is taken where necessary.
General Management
1. Contribute to the strategic direction of the company.
2. Promote the culture of the company, adhering to its quality standards, stated policies procedures and guidelines at all times.
3. Participate in regular, constructive communication with all departments to maintain a general understanding of all accounts.
4. Act as an ambassador for the Agency at all times.
