Our client is a major provider of precision manufacturing equipment and software applications to global manufacturing
industries.
We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team developing MS Windows C++ based software products for
CAD/CAM applications, control of precision metal cutting and multi-axis 3D measurement.
Key outputs and responsibilities:
- Implementation of new functionality in C++
- Provide requirements analysis, design and documentation for new functionality
- Provide estimates for effort required in tasks
Candidates will require:
- Substantial practical experience of developing in C++
- MS Windows development expertise
In addition, some or all of the following would be beneficial:
- MFC and Windows SDK
- ATL
- GUI development
- State machines
- OO modelling techniques including UML
- Multi threading
- Mathematical ability - 3D geometry / vector transformations / point data set manipulation
- knowledge of CNC machine tools and engineering
- Networking e.g. TCP/IP protocols
