Assistant Shift Supervisor - £40,000 - London

My client is dedicated to providing the highest quality facilities solutions in the UK and maintain the mechanical & electrical facilities at over 35,000 sites. They urgently require a assistant shift supervisor to support the appointed Shift Supervisor to manage the shift team of site engineers and provide both preventative and reactive maintenance and operational services on a high profile critical business environment.

The right candidate will be available to work on a unorthodox continental shift pattern and duties will include, but may not be limited to:

* Develop a complete familiarity with the operation and recovery of all business critical systems within the building.
* Carry out the planned preventative maintenance programme and ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines, statutory acts and regulations. Update site-specific work schedules and re-programme regularly.
* Take specific responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the sites critical, electrical and HVAC services.
* Maintain a Safe Systems of Work process and periodically update as may be required.
* Manage and conduct fault finding across all engineering infrastructures
* Conduct all statutory system and asset testing and report accordingly.
* Deal responsibly with emergencies and breakdowns.
* Will need to operate within and manage a team covering shift working
* Liaise with, monitor and control the activities of all outside contractors working on site

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills/attributes:

- Previous experience within a critical business environment atleast shift leader level or previous assistant or shift supervisory experience
- In depth experience of hands on PPM and reactive building services within a critical business environment
- Mechanical, electrical or HVAC craft apprenticeship trained or hold equivalent City & Guilds
- AP 15 High Voltage Authorised
- Sound technical awareness of UPS (DRUPS/Static), standby generator systems, chilled & condensed water systems, data centre power distribution (1MWe), close control A/C systems & air cooled chillers etc

Remuneration will include a salary of up to £40,000 for the right person and a competitive benefits package!
