GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) currently has an opportunity for a Senior SAP Functional Consultant (MM/WM) to work at their site in Brentford.

Our journey to simplify our operating model is enabled through ERP transformation and major initiatives which will cover the Commercial and Manufacturing operations and run over the next few years. These significant programmes will be a key enabler for transforming the organisation, driving efficiencies in our Commercial Businesses, the factories and across the Supply Chain which will be critical to GSK's overall strategic ambition. To enable our journey GSK are recruiting high calibre SAP experts to partner with Senior Process Owners from the business to drive the transformation. We are seeking individuals with excellent SAP capabilities as well as a strong business partnering mindset to join our integrated transformation team.

This role exists to define, drive, and deliver standard processes, data and IT systems which are:

Aligned to the overall strategic direction for GSK and the GSK overall operating model

Integrated into end-to-end process flows: driving alignment across multiple sites and functions to deliver value to the end customer

Aligned to all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory standards

As simple as possible and as complex as necessary aligned to Lean Six Sigma principles

Structured to enable the adoption of simplified, standardized IT systems (especially SAP systems), minimizing customization and maximizing the adoption of Embedded SAP good-practices

Aligned to other internal and external best practices

This role is a core IT delivery role driving business change and IT systems programmes in the MM/WM process area. The role sits within the SAP Functional Centre of Excellence, which provides the functional expertise for major ERP programme teams as well as for BAU projects on the existing major SAP templates.

This role is accountable for SAP Materials Management and Warehouse Management expertise within the team.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate in related discipline or equivalent experience

Proven SAP configuration experience preferably with SAP certification in respective area of expertise

3 end-to-end market/site implementation project life cycles

Demonstrated breadth of knowledge and solution delivery experience across the end-to-end process that they own, acquired through multiple leadership roles in global SAP implementations

Expert knowledge and experience of SAP solutions in a Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

Knowledge of external and internal best practices relevant to aligned process area

Knowledge of the network of opinion leaders and subject matter experts relevant to their process area (both inside and outside GSK)

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, experience of application
