Multi Discipline Maintenance Engineers - West Midlands

Our client specialise in the provision of managed services for all aspects of production equipment maintenance within a diverse range of manufacturing environments, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit two multi discipline manufacturing maintenance professionals to complement their existing team.

You will perform a combination of technical (hands-on) and systems analysis and methodology activities whilst working under minimal supervision, performing various sequences of complex troubleshooting and repair techniques on manufacturing equipment's electrical/electronic or mechanical systems, and applying complex and unique techniques and procedures to analyze, troubleshoot, program, build up, maintain, and repair complex equipment including S7 plc controlled systems and robots.

Able to perform complex fault find, diagnosis and repair activities on a range of electrical mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment as well as complex operating systems, you will analyse manufacturing maintenance systems and methodologies and recommend new and improved methods of doing maintenance, as well as study and investigating technical and systems methods, tools, and inventions that can be implemented into sites to improve maintenance practices and bring TPM to their customers before submitting factual-based conclusions and recommendations to the management team. You will additionally prepare reports and training manuals as required and cost analysis for new equipment and repair/rebuild proposals, as well as technical reports on cost savings and technical inventions and innovations as required and associated project documentation and maintenance paperwork. You will provides technical contents of sales quotations and quotations and summary sheet (billing information), including obtaining customer survey portion of the job before assuming project manager responsibilities as assigned.

To be considered for these varied and challenging roles, you will be a team player with excellent customer facing skills and effective time management and prioritising abilities: You will be able to analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals and respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers as well as write presentations and sales proposals that conform to prescribed style and format, and will be qualified to at least HND level in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline, and will essentially demonstrate at least 5 years experience or working within a manufacturing maintenance environment where you will have operated and programmed CNC control units, and if mechanically biased, experienced in vibration analysis or laser operations, machine alignments, and general machine tool maintenance.
