Our client is one of the UK's leading accessible transport providers offering a variety of accessible minibuses and coach build welfare vehicles.
They are currently seeking a Fleet Maintenance Controller to join their team based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The main purpose of this role is to ensure that planned routine maintenance activities are scheduled and entered onto the system. Within this role your main responsibilities will include scheduling, monitoring and proactively controlling all routine maintenance (annual testing, servicing, safety inspections, tachographs, loler and weight tests), managing and proactively controlling unscheduled maintenance including roadside breakdowns and arranging inspections, MOT's and any other fleet related operation. You will also be expected to maintain effective administration systems, organise and book vehicle maintenance and servicing and operate best practice at managing and minimising all maintenance costs without compromising on service.
The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will have proven administration experience. Diligent and accurate, you will have a superb attention to detail with the ability to learn quickly and you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Approachable and friendly, you will have the ability to build rapport easily and you will be confident in your approach with customers. Organised and efficient, you will have the ability to plan and prioritise your workload effectively and you will be a highly skilled multi-tasker who knows the importance of meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Some knowledgeof vehicles would be advantageous but this is not essential.
