We are urgently seeking an Internal Auditor for one of our public sector clients. The position on offer is temporary and expected to last 6- months with the possibility of an extension. The successful candidate would be reporting to the Audit Manager. Duties will include: performing reviews of systems, financial and control based audits within the organisation leading financial control visits and audit projects; responsible for reviewing the work; setting objectives and targets; monitoring, appraising and coaching other members of the team; obtaining information, completing reviews, interpretation and evaluation of risks and controls and testing the effectiveness of the key controls identified; reporting results of the fieldwork in meetings to the auditees and drafting reports for the Audit Manager. The candidate must be an Auditor qualified to the level of CCAB. You must have sound experience of using financial systems. It is essential that you are able to manage your own time and work on your own initiative and it is imperative that you are competent in using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
