Digital Account Director (Media Agency) - Birmingham - 35,000 - 50,000
Objectives of the Role:
To continue to build the digital team within the Birmingham office and to be the figurehead of our digital offering.
To lead and enthusiastically encourage both our clients and staff to consider the merits of digital.
To be responsible for the digital planning and buying output of the Birmingham office.
To help win new business and become a key part of the senior management team within Birmingham.
Business Responsibilities:
Demonstrate excellent capabilities in client servicing: managing both senior and day to day client relationships.
Overseeing and being responsible for the digital output from the Birmingham office: to include managing media owner relationships with emphasis on the trading side & to lead the digital planning output.
To be comfortable in leading pitches and responding to client briefs: often leading and managing the process from start to finish.
To manage and be responsible on a day to day basis for the output of a both a Digital Account Manager and a Digital Assistant.
People Responsibilities:
To demonstrate a strong aptitude in developing people and helping them develop and progress with their careers.
To manage and be responsible on a day to day basis for the work output of a both a Digital Account Manager and a Digital Assistant.
To be a strong communicator with a passion for all things digital and to be confident in selling
To be a team player but self-motivated in managing clients and a digital team.
Skills and Behaviours:
To champion digital as a channel within the agency and to clients.
To challenge client briefs with sound logic demonstrating compete mastery of the digital world.
To have through knowledge of all aspects of digital planning & buying: from PPC to affiliates to social media and display advertising.
To continually explore new innovations within digital and demonstrate a real drive and enthusiasm in doing so.
To demonstrate strong strategic planning knowledge within a digital context.
To be a confident presenter with the ability to simplify the most complex of ideas / digital processes.
Key Performance Indicators:
Senior Management reporting based on Client, Team feedback & Media Owner feedback.
New business wins.
Successful selling in of additional services to clients.
Qualifications and other relevant information:
Academic profile: Degree & A 'Levels required.
Professional qualifications: IPA / IAB / CIMA / IDM qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Language requirements: again not essential but would be considered valuable
Technology skills: mastery of all MS office tools essential.
Industry skills: demonstrate an aptitude for TGI / ComScore / Hitwise.
