We are looking for specialist EBD Specific Teaching Assistants across all key stages. To support pupils with Emotional
and Behavioural Difficulties. The work will be within Special Schools and Pupil Referral Units throughout Lancashire
working with challenging behaviour, a variety of Special Educational Needs, and reintegrating excluded pupils back into
mainstream school.

You will be required to provide small group or 1:1 support .The supply placements available include half days, full days,
long term, and permanent placements. allowing you the opportunity to obtain flexible work that is tailored to suit your
individual requirements.

The role

To liaise with classroom teachers and help to prepare, plan and implement activities based on national curriculum
To promote an innovative approach in accessing the national Curriculum or other approved course of study and
maintaining progress with work and activities carefully structured and differentiated to match student's levels of
interest and ability
To monitor pupil's responses to learning activities and undertake pupil record keeping as requested
Reintegrate pupils back into mainstream school and provide pupils with support to make their transition successful.


To be considered for this EBD teaching assistant job :

-SKIP or Team Teach experience is desirable but not essential
-MAKATON experience is desirable but not essential
-Have excellent behaviour management skills
-Have experience of supporting on a 1:1 and small groups
-You MUST be able to provide us with recent, relevant references
-NQT's are welcome to apply
-Be well organised and punctual
-Excellent Attendance and Reliability
-Experience of Sports Coaching/Teaching P.E is desirable
