A Solicitor with 1-2 years post qualification experience of aviation litigation work is sought to join this highly
experienced dispute resolution team. The team provides a comprehensive range of dispute resolution services to their
corporate and commercial clients, both national and international. Their work involves disputes in the Commercial Court,
Companies Court, Chancery and Queen's Bench Divisions as well as some County Court matters. They also have experience of
international and domestic arbitration, adjudication and expert determination. Particular expertise in relation to ADR
mechanisms. They offer specialist skills in the fields of fraud, property litigation, construction, travel, aviation and
FSA and regulatory work. Their aviation team is highly specialised and values aviation market understanding and genuine
interest very highly.

Roles and Responsibilities - The work includes:-
Dealing with a range of specialist aviation disputes, including lease returns, repossession work, insurance claims,
maintenance disputes, supplier claims and others.
Acting for companies, banks and other financial institutions, partnerships, professional bodies and private
individuals.
Handling a large and varied caseload, with a strong commercial approach.
Client liaison; both over the telephone and face to face; providing updates on the progress of files and taking
accurate messages
Dealing with client account queries and preparing your own bills
Developing strong links with other teams in the Firm to encourage the cross-referral of work
Organising your workload to ensure work correctly prioritised;
Achieving a target of 1300 hours of chargeable work per year as well as two hours of non-chargeable activity per day
(or pro rated if part-time)

Key Attributes - You will have:
Ideally, at least 1-2 years post qualification experience of aviation litigation work
A genuine interest in and detailed knowledge of Aviation, developing subject matter expertise in this field. The
candidate will be expected to demonstrate clear understanding of commercial aviation. This aspect will be weighted
heavily
A high level of motivation and commitment
A determination to provide a truly outstanding service to clients, both as a lawyer and an adviser
Client focus, with a strength in building and sustaining relationships
Commercial awareness
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
The ability to work as part of a team within both the Dispute Resolution team and other internal teams across the
business
A developing affinity with marketing and business development
The ability to work well under pressure
Solid IT skills with a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience of working a case management system
An interest in Property Litigation, IP, Fraud or Construction or another specialist area would be an advantage
