Shop Manager
Llandudno
7,920 per annum, 18 hours per week
We have a network of high street shops that's bigger than many of Britain's retailers and a brand people trust. We're
known for being innovative. Look at Oxfam unwrapped, our ethical collection, or our exclusive distribution deal with the
Arctic Monkeys. And we're competitive. We have to fight for business here so we can fund our fight against poverty and
injustice around the world. Because that's where every penny of our profit goes. And that's why we're a retailer with a
real difference.
The role
Put simply, it's about turning everything we sell in our shops into vital funds for years to come. And to achieve that,
you'll take responsibility for all aspects of the strategic and day-to-day operations of the business, from budgeting,
merchandising and marketing, to the recruitment, training and managing a team of volunteers. It's about making sure
everything is geared up to generate as much cash as possible from our specially selected collections and the donations we
receive. You'll run the business your way. And we'll expect you to turn it into a roaring success.
What we're looking for
Excellent customer service skills and people management experience is essential and chances are you'll already be working
as a retail manager. But whatever your background, we'll expect you to have a commercial outlook and some previous
experience of cash handling, together with excellent communication skills and a real ability to engage with people.
About Oxfam
A simple, inescapable truth underlines everything we do at Oxfam. There's enough wealth in this world to go around. It's
not unfortunate that people live in poverty. It's unjustifiable. And it's not just their problem. It's ours too. At Oxfam
we believe that with the right support, we can beat poverty and injustice. Thousands of people already commit their time
and talents to our campaigning, humanitarian and long-term development projects. Now we're looking for yours.
