We have a unique opportunity for a Software Engineering Manager / Leader Engineer to join one of the fastest growing technology companies in Scotland. You will be able to directly shape the companies technical strategy. Your role will include managing the software development team, programme / change and process management projects and assisting with supporting internal IT systems and engineering design and development.

Key Responsibilities:
* Planning of software aspects of Quotes, Projects.
* Achieve compliance to AS9100, DO 178 and other relevant software quality standards.
* Ensure projects are planned, executed and reported in a structured and timely manner.
* Liaising with and organising IT management and support.
* Supporting specific projects as agreed with the management team


More specific responsibilities included in the above:
* Work with the engineering team to assist with the design of systems
* Applying the disciplines of; Software Engineering, microprocessor (DSP, CPLD, FPGA) servo loop configuration, motor control DSP algorithms. Assist the engineering team with optimisation of motor performance using simulation, Spice, MathCAD and other tools.
* System Architecture design and development, software development.
* Engineering tests of products and sub contact work design.
* Design for manufacture of test solutions & systems deployed in harsh environments.
* Participate in programmes & projects and dealing directly with clients as, including when required to support Business Development & Sales.


Personal characteristics and experience required:
* Considerable experience as senior programmer or software manager.
* Background in DSP is required.
* Knowledge of relevant software quality standards
* First rate communication skills
