Job Title: Operations Engineer
Location: Central Belt, Scotland

Introduction:
My client is a renewable energy company, they offer a variety of services including independent advice, outsourcing and
consultancy in the energy market. Due to continued expansion they now have a requirement for an Operations Engineer to be
based in the central belt of Scotland.
Please note: Candidates will be required to travel throughout Scotland and Northern England.
This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and although not essential, could be well
suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e Royal Navy, Royal Air Force or Army and has a
background within a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Required to coordinate and manage the production from companies portfolio of producing Hydro power plant.
- Achieve targets for production and targets related to engineering performance of the plant and visual aspects of the
estate.
- Lead and coordinate the work of companies' operatives at the sites including site visits on a regular basis and
demonstrating work to the operatives.
- Fast and accurate diagnosis of control system failures in both electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Devising and implementing small projects to improve production and performance at plant.
- All aspects of maintaining the plant in operation including negotiating with SEPA the EA and other environmental
agencies, with planners, shareholders and landlords as necessary as well as their agents and employees and particularly
keeping the estate in a condition to receive visitors and allow the company to be proud of its operations.
- Keep accurate records and produce reports and present to monthly management meetings.
Applicant Requirements:
- The successful candidate will have knowledge of engineering and electronics theory.
- Previous working knowledge of operating and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment.
- Electrical and hydraulic control systems experience.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Achieve targets for production and targets related to engineering performance of the plant and visual aspects of the
estate.
- Professional manner to the management of the estate and company as a whole.
