Our client an established, leading food company supplying products to the retail, food service and food manufacturing sectors require a passionate, versatile Technical QA Manager with experience within FMCG and Food manufacturing (Preferably Bakery) to strengthen their existing team.
Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be responsible for the strategic management and continual development of a robust QA system that meets all codes of practice and legal requirements throughout the site. Focusing on the bigger picture/strategy, i.e. engaging others and working in the greater team is required to understand requirements of the total business therefore ensuring alignment of goals.
Main Responsibilities;
* To effectively manage a team consisting of QA Auditors and Technicians
* To maintain, drive and work towards continually improving quality and food safety standards
* To manage and review the effectiveness of the complaints system
* Working with and engaging others to find opportunities to challenge and develop the performance of the function.
Required experience & skills;
* Technical discipline degree or alternative relevant experience
* Sound background in and experience of Quality requirements within a bakery production environment
* Management experience
* Strategic thinking
* M&S experience
* Be a current Technical manager
* Have bakery experience.
