Our client is a national specialist offender learning provider with a wealth of experience in this sector. The Colleges Offender Learning Directorates role is to develop learning and skills provision, working locally with other partners, that meets the needs of offenders in custody and contributes to the aim of reducing reoffending.
This is an exciting opportunity for a partnership focused, innovative individual to contribute to the development of high quality learning and skills provision at HMYOI Deerbolt in the North East. With this in mind, they are currently seeking to appoint an ICT Tutor to work within the Education provision.
As directed by a Manager or Team Leader, you will teach and provide good quality, learner focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with policies and procedures. Working within the secure estate offers a challenging but extremely rewarding environment for the right candidate.
Applicants for the tutor role must have relevant experience teaching ITQ and hold a teaching qualification and subject specialist qualification or a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within a given timescale. You will also have at least a level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy.
To succeed within the role, candidates will need to have a pragmatic and non judgmental approach to their work and the flexibility to adapt to meet learner requirements when necessary.
