At National Grid, we're building for the future. One of the biggest utilities companies in the world, we lead the way in
renewable energies and carbon reduction. Our projects are huge, and innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Come
and help us shape the UK's energy landscape.

With contracts worth up to 3.9 billion, we're working to upgrade and develop electricity and gas transmission and
distribution networks across England and Wales. Right now we're looking for highly organised and proactive people to help
us deliver a variety of exciting and challenging projects.

In this role, you'll make a core contribution to the success of this initiative, as well as developing valuable new
skills and experiences. You'll be responsible for the delivery of a number of capital and / or revenue projects up to
50m to specification, time and cost - and for ensuring that all involved parties proactively manage health, safety and
environmental issues. Acting as Project Manager, you'll lead project teams on behalf of the Lead Project Manager. You'll
also undertake the role of Commission Panel Chair, CDM Coordinator and ensure that development scheme teams identify and
assess all construction risks. Making certain that all activities adhere to policy and procedures, and that the Project
Risk Register is updated, you'll provide regular reports to the Lead Project Manager.

The role is predominantly office based however the projects that you will be managing are sites across the country in
England and Wales.

You'll need to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of either HV power systems or asset management. Qualified to HNC (or
equivalent) in electrical, mechanical or civil engineering, leading to Chartered status (or similar) in the field of
contract / project management. Ideally, you'll also have recognised training or qualifications in Health, Safety (IOSH /
NEBOSH), Environmental or Financial management. Combining excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills,
your ability to establish and develop good working relationships with all project delivery team members, contractors and
other stakeholders will be vital. Permission to drive in the UK is essential.

The opportunity to work on innovative, high-profile projects isn't the only benefit we offer. There's also a competitive
package, a supportive environment and the near-limitless potential for career development you'd expect from an
international business like ours.

In addition to excellent development opportunities our package includes: individual performance related bonus, a defined
contribution pension scheme, 25 days' holiday, and a comprehensive flexible benefits scheme that offers a range of
lifestyle, health and protection benefits. This role also comes with a company car.
