The EMEA AD team provides analysis, development and support for Global Fund Services (GFS) within EMEA. This role
represents an exciting opportunity for an Developer/Analyst to join an established team to cover GFS technology
solutions.
You will work with other technology teams to ensure the end to end implementation supports stated GFS needs, enhancing
our capability for client on-boarding and reducing time to market.
The team operates in a client-facing environment where priorities can change quickly from day to day. This may require
the team to move quickly between projects, which require the individual to have a flexible and positive attitude to
frequent change.
ROLE:
This is predominantly a RAD developer role and being part of the EMEA AD team, the individual will be acting in a
Techno-Functional capacity and will be responsible for requirement capture, analysis, design, development and testing of
components/services using Agile, RAD and standard SDLC practices. The Developer/Analyst would also be providing support
for the existing set of components/services.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Development and Testing (new requirements and changes/enhancements)
* Review of business requirements, liaising with business partners to achieve meaningful requirements.
* Estimate new items of work, collating across multiple tech groups as required.
* Defining acceptance criteria (test cases/test scenarios) based on the requirements. Refine test cases/scenarios
iteratively. Own and maintain regression packs for testing changes/enhancements.
* Liaise and interact with the business groups to provide any support for User Acceptance Testing and tracking any
defects arising in UAT to closure
* Maintain and document all developments by adhering to the standard procedures for version and change control
* Knowledge sharing across the team.

control.
Essential Techno-Functional Skills:
* Minimum 4+ years experience in Developer/Analyst role within financial services.
* Strong VBA/Excel, T-SQL and .NET experience. Experience in object-oriented design and coding techniques.
* Good experience in database design and development.
* Experience in Agile development/Test Driven Development.
* Understanding of data quality testing best practices and knowledge of automated test and quality checking tools.
* Strong business system analysis experience.
* Previous experience working on large, complex global projects.
Desirable Skills:
* SQL server experience.
* Financial industry knowledge including fund/investment accounting including an understanding of the structure of
these platforms (funds, codification etc) as well as those peripheral tools that require interfaces (client
reporting, cash administration, unt pricing, transactions processing etc).
* Good understanding of SDLC methodologies. Development experience within SunGard InvestOne and Apollo/OLE/EMS
environment with an understanding of upstream/downstream data flows.
* Knowledge of defect management tools eg Mercury Quality Center.
* Experience of any other software languages or development/testing tools would be advantageous: JIRA, Subversion,
FITnesse and Hudson.
* HP Dialogue tool knowledge would be an advantage.
* Experience of ETL and reporting tools would be advantageous eg Cognos, Informatica, DataStage etc.
* Experience of data dictionary tools to produce technical specifications.
