Finance Trainee
As a leading defence systems integrator and electronics manufacturer, we are recruiting a Finance Trainee role. This role
would suit a fresh graduate or an individual looking to expand their Finance experience within industry. Based at our
Glenrothes site, this is what we consider a Direct entry Graduate trainee role. This role is within the Finance function
and will work with specialist to become a Finance analyst within a large scale complex contract environment.
Business Context : Job Purpose
Finance Graduate providing financial support and assistance to a team of finance analysts supporting multiple programs
within a 80m manufacturing business.
Assisting in providing variance analysis, productivity analysis, month end, year end, forecasting and budgeting, within a
contract costing environment.
The successful candidate will be offered full training and support to ensure successful entry to CIMA / ACCA. This
includes a study package.
Nature and Scope
Key responsibilities/ budget/people summary of main activities
* Program support finance to large programs, business partner to the program team and program managers
* Make recommendations as to how to improve efficiency in reporting and recommend courses of action that drive
improvement. (Program reporting and close using SAP & Cognos)
* Ability to balance multiple priorities with tight deadlines
* Account reconciliations and other post close activities
* Special projects including other finance support
* Working as part of a team, with high collaboration across the IPT, with an eye for detail and drive for accuracy
* Ensuring compliance with company policy , US GAAP and SOX
* Key player in post SAP implementation process improvement
* Strong communications across functions and levels and able to communicate complex financial information to non finance
staff
