This is a superb opportunity to join the design team of a recognised leader in its sector which exports its highly
acclaimed and widely referenced product range to over sixty countries. The company's products incorporate precision
mechanisms, electrical controls and operating software integrated into ergonomically designed, robust systems that
reliably produce accurate, repeatable and traceable data for users worldwide.

The requirement is for an experienced mechanical design engineer to join the central new product design team. The role
will report to the Product Innovation Director and carries responsibility for the mechanical design of the systems and
mechanisms that form the operating core of all major new products. The design environment is highly automated with full
3D CAD and associated printing and prototyping facilities.

Ideal candidates will be degree or equivalent qualified in mechanical engineering with a strong design bias particularly
with regard to overall system design. They will have had experience of working within, and contributing to,
multi-disciplinary design teams and should have breadth of experience including trials and production introduction. They
will also have had a degree of market or customer contact which allows them to optimise the functionality, ease of use
and market acceptability of their designs.
