Web / Application Developer

Reporting to: Head of Technical Operations

Location: London

Salary: 30K - 40K

Role Purpose and Description
My client is looking for an organised and skilled Web Developer to work alongside its Studely based Managed Data team.
This will be an involved and challenging role with significant opportunity for skills development. You will be working
mainly with PHP and MVC frameworks, MySQL, MSSQL, web design and deployment technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide dedicated web development resource to the busy Managed Data team. Key roles and
responsibilities include:

- Ownership of internal and customer facing web applications
- Troubleshoot errors and identity root cause
- Development of new web applications to support the business
- Ensure application availability is met in line with SLAs
- Compliance with Company information security policies and procedures, reporting incidents and ensuring necessary
security processes or activities are completed.

Required Competencies (Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Attitude)
Essential
- Proven track record within web development in a technical business-to-business environment
- The ability to multi-task and manage multiple assignments
- Experience with implementing applications from ground up and support of existing applications
- Ability to work with autonomy
- Object Ordinated PHP
- Experience of shell scripting
- Good experience in Javascript, HTML and CSS
Experience with AJAX
- Graphics and Flash manipulation
- MySQL and MSSQL

Desirable
- Perl Scripting
- Experience with Javascript Libraires
- Experience with version control systems, e.g. SVN
- Development of web applications for use with iPad/iPhone
