We require an Software Application Engineer with Protocol Experience for a growing and successful company based in
Hampshire.

The right candidate will perform pre and post-sales technical support to customers on Software issues. Will perform
Presentation & training on software multi-mode wireless solutions and tools. Resolve technical problems the customer may
have with application of the product. Coordination of technical communications between engineering and customer.
Development of applications notes for company products and develop solutions to aid customers through new applications of
QCT technology.

Experience required. (some or most required)

Knowledge of ETSI 3GPP WCDMA standard (additional knowledge of GSM/GPRS standards desirable)
Experience of specification, design & implementation of layered protocols, particularly WCDMA RRC (WCDMA Layer 1, Layer 2
RLC/MAC, HSDPA/HUSPA and NAS knowledge desirable).
Experience with Verification and Validation of protocol stack software including Approvals testing and network
inter-operability testing
Debugging of real-time embedded solutions
Experience of real-time SW development or validation/verification for embedded products
C or C++ programming language
Previous experience in:
UMTS terminal or network design
GSM/GPRS terminal design
3G and 2.5G standards.
General wireless/RF knowledge
Willingness to travel extensively.
