Salary to £30,000
A HR Manager is required for this well regarded firm of claimant personal injury solicitors. Due to continued expansion they are currently recruiting a HR Manager to support the firm's ambitious growth strategy. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented HR Manager to join their team.
You will work with the Managing Partner and the rest of the firm's Management Team to undertake the following: define the firm's recruitment needs, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidates for interview; ensuring new staff are effectively inducted; managing the appraisal process; maintaining training records, and ensuring CPD requirements are fulfilled; responsibility for keeping the firm's training records and overseeing the firm's training schedule and in conjunction with the Managing Partner, defining training needs for all members of staff at different levels. This includes maintaining records for Law Society and Association of Personal Injury Lawyers purposes; assist in the management of Trainee Solicitors, including their training records and relevant Law Society documentation; liaising with external training providers and booking training courses.
The ideal candidate will have the CIPD qualification (or part-qualification) or international equivalent, or qualified by significant experience; experience of working in a HR Management capacity; experience of managing a small team; strong administration skills; strong numerical skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office - particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint; flexible attitude - ability to prioritise and adapt to constantly shifting priorities; experience of working in a legal practice or other professional services environment; experience of working within small-medium enterprises; experience of project management of accreditation processes such as Lexcel, Investors in People or ISO9001.
