An excellent opportunity has arisen in the Manufacturing sector for a qualified/part-qualified Accountant to join a privately owned company experiencing rapid growth. The successful candidate will be an experienced `all-rounder capable of preparing the management and financial accounts, running the payroll and making sure that the accounting function runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Previous experience of costing/analysis of profitability will be required and a manufacturing background is ideally preferred. Some involvement with purchasing (consumables) will form part of the role, in particular negotiating contracts, as will taking responsibility for the rudimentary elements of HR. This would include contracts of employment, coaching Managers involved in disciplinarians, issuing and amending the staff manuals as & when required and generally keeping the company on the right side of employment law requirements. If you are just looking for a number crunching job then this role is not for you!
