This company is looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for supporting the Director in the
execution of Business Development, including Sales, Marketing and PR/Event initiatives that help to deliver the company's
business objectives.
The successful candidate will be able to use his / her skill set and experience to drive through key business development
projects that help develop the firm's quality client-base, reputation and market profile.
Business Development and Sales Management
- Assisting with research required for business development initiatives
- Assisting with the preparation of pitch documents and presentations
- Sales Meetings with potential clients and follow-up to win new client accounts in major companies, professional
services and consultancy industries.
- Presentation Solutions is a corporate member of several professional membership groups such as the European Venture
Capital Association (EVCA) and the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA), this role will involve attendance at
events and seminars both in the UK and overseas.
CRM:
- Responsible for updating the database with new information/contacts
- Responsible for maintaining contact quality and ensuring the data base is kept clean, deleting records if necessary and
merging duplicates
- Undertake telephone and web-based research to build up lists of contacts and to validate existing records
- Provide reports and lists as and when required to help with business development tasks
Seminars and Events
- Co-ordinate speakers in preparing for seminars
- Working with Partners and Associates, to develop invitation lists for events
- Coordinating responses to seminar invitations
- Assist in preparing documentation for seminar packs
- Capture, analyse and report on delegate feedback
Personal Attributes and Skills:
- Enthusiastic, pro-active and with a team orientated approach.
- Can deal with difficult situations, cope with pressure with good humour and drive through projects.
- Excellent IT skills: Advanced level PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Familiarity with online email marketing systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (especially ability to network with and to be clear, concise and
influential with partners and senior level management in prospective clients).
- Eye for design and quality control in respect of presentations and other promotional material.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Good organisational skills - able to multi-task (especially urgent requests)
- This role may involve overseas travel within Europe
Qualifications:
- Graduate or having further professional qualifications.
- At least 2 years experience in a sales and/or marketing role, possibly within a marketing services agency
- Excellent IT skills, able to adapt to new technology
