Barclays

Customer Service Advisor - Collections

Join a company that cares
When you join Barclays as a Collector, you'll find anything but a standard debt collecting job -expect to find yourself
listening as much as talking. We'll ask you to contact customers who are behind on their payments, get to know and
understand their situation, and arrange repayment terms that protect their interests as well as ours. In return, you can
expect an onsite gym, free employee parking and excellent career progression opportunities - all in a company that will
make your well-being and satisfaction a top priority.

What you'll give our customers as a Customer Service Advisor - Collections
You'll manage inbound and outbound calls with customers in debt and negotiate repayment terms that satisfy everyone
involved. We'll count on you to use empathy and strong negotiation skills to find a way forward from potentially complex
financial and emotional circumstances.

What you'll get in return
Help our customers get the best that Barclays has to offer, and you'll get the same in return. We're not just talking
about valuable benefits like great bonus potential, private healthcare, childcare savings, and a huge range of employee
discounts. You'll also enjoy a unique company spirit that believes in giving people the freedom to do a great job today,
and the support to reach their biggest ambitions in the future.

What you'll need as a Customer Service Advisor - Collections
The success of everyone at Barclays is measured by their ability to put our customers at the centre of their day. To do
that in this role, you'll need call centre experience, solid interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a high level of
proficiency in MS Word and Excel. We'll need to see a talent for anticipating customer needs and requirements and a solid
knowledge of IVA, bankruptcy and trust deed regulations. Outstanding communication and time-management skills are
essential as well as previous experience in a credit control or debt collection role.

Various shift patterns available between 8.30am-8pm Monday to Friday and Saturday (1 in 2) 09am-1pm

We'll judge you on your ability and nothing else.
